Getting Started

Hello and welcome to the Cross Stitch Design and Fabric Viewer. To get started follow these four easy steps.
  1. Select a pattern artist.
  2. Select a pattern from the list.
  3. Select a fabric dyer.
  4. Select a fabric from the list.

The Buttons

The buttons within each of the pattern and fabric selection areas allow you to customize what you would like displayed. All buttons listed below are available for both patterns and fabrics.
The examples displayed below are for fabrics selection area.

   When this button is selected, the next pattern/fabric you click on will be displayed in the left viewer.
   When this button is selected, the next pattern/fabric you click on will be displayed in the middle viewer.
   When this button is selected, the next pattern/fabric you click on will be displayed in the right viewer.
   When this button is selected, the next pattern/fabric you click on will be displayed all viewers.
   When this button is clicked, all pattern/fabric selections will be removed from the viewers.
   Clicking this button will display the patterns/fabrics as a list of names. You can then click on a name to view the item.
   Clicking this button will display the patterns/fabrics as a list of images. You can then click on an image to view the item.

These buttons toggle the size of the selection area. The makes it larger and the makes it smaller.
  
Clicking this button in the pattern area will change the display and allow you to search by the pattern name.
Clicking this button in the fabric area will change the display and allow you to search by the fabric name.

Clicking this button will toggle the display back to it`s original state and allow you to browse the artist/dyer catalogues.

Searching For Patterns and Fabrics

One of the ways you can find a pattern or fabric is to search for it by name. Seaching is very easy! Follow the steps below to search for a item you are interested in.
The steps are the same for both the pattern and fabric areas. The example below searches for a pattern.
  1. Click the Search button in the title of the filter area.
    You will see the filter area change to allow you to enter a name.
  2. Enter the name of the item you are trying to find. It doesn`t have to be exact. What you enter can be anywhere in the name.
    As you type, the matching items will be displayed.
  3. When you find the one you want to look at, click the image to place that item in the viewer.
    The left, center and right and all viewers buttons work from here too, so you can place the image where you like.

  4. You can go back to browsing by catalogue by clicking the catalogue button.
